Summary

Free & Clear’s Clinical and Behavioral Sciences Department designs, develops and delivers resources, trainings and training programs. Current programs focus on online, web-based and face-to-face trainings to increase the number of healthcare providers and organizations in that are equipped to address and treat tobacco dependence in patients. As part of one of these training contracts, Free & Clear developed and currently implements an Outreach Program in Arkansas State to actively reach and train healthcare providers in the state.

The Outreach Program uses academic detailing to offer resources and trainings to organizations in a face-to-face manner. This Program Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations the Arkansas State Outreach Program. These duties will include supervising, training and coaching three field-based Outreach Specialists who meet daily with healthcare providers; managing and executing program deliverables related to the Outreach Program.

Key Responsibilities


Contract Administration

  • In collaboration with the Senior Program Manager and Vice President of Clinical and Behavioral Sciences, the Program Manager will negotiate the scope of work and budget for the contract (annually).
  • Work collaboratively with to identify stakeholder goals and needs.
  • Serve a point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the contract and ensure on-time completion of agreed upon deliverables.
  • Manage day-to-day contract budget and finances.
  • Identify appropriate contract resources and resource gaps, work collaboratively with Senior Program Manager to resolve staffing/resource needs.
  • Represent stakeholders and Free & Clear at appropriate statewide conferences and events that further contract strategic goals.

Outreach Program Management

  • Provide weekly phone-based coaching for three field-based Outreach Specialists.
  • Plan, organize and implement quarterly meetings for Outreach Specialist growth and development.
  • Oversee Outreach Specialist productivity in field.
  • Set and monitor quarterly work plans with each Outreach Specialist.
  • Conduct quarterly (minimum) field rides with each Outreach Specialist for coaching and quality assurance.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement plans with Outreach Specialists as needed.
  • Manage and oversee budget for each territory and for the Outreach Program as a whole.
  • Identify Outreach Program staffing needs and hire new staff. Assure that Outreach Specialists are trained appropriately.
  • Develop new/necessary tools for the Outreach Program.
  • Provide stakeholders with routine metrics on Outreach Program outcomes, as outlined in deliverables.

Communication

  • Provide timely and professional internal and external (client-facing) communication.
  • Conduct routine calls with stakeholders.
  • Manage and organize a weekly contract check-in meeting to discuss the progress of all projects (not just the Outreach Program).
  • Meet weekly with the Senior Program Manager to provide program updates and discuss crucial issues.
  • Involve the Senior Program Manager in vital/sensitive communications.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications


Education, Licenses, and Certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Masters preferred
  • Candidate MUST have at least four years field-based experience working with healthcare providers in a sales or marketing setting and at least two years of field-based management experience.
